Cities visited: Heidelberg, Frankfurt, Rheine Valley, Prague, Salzburg, and MunichAll in all, it was an amazing trip. I'm disappointed because I don't think my pictures do the cities justice, but I'll start posting them this weekend (along with more details and stories) so you can have a glimpse yourself!
Favorite city: Heidelberg (Joe), Prague, closely followed by Heidelberg (Amanda)
Total miles traveled: approximately 2200
Average miles walked per day: a lot
Craziest location for a hotel we booked: Frankfurt's Red Light District
Joe's favorite place to read a map: in the middle of the road
Funniest moment: random stranger giving Amanda's bum a little squeeze while walking past.
City with the most, and very charming, street performers: Prague
City with the most charming street band: Heidelberg
Favorite mode of transportation: Slow train
Most stressful moment(s): driving in Frankfurt
Item most needed and not packed: maps for Frankfurt and Germany, in general
Best Breakfast: All you can eat European breakfast buffet in Prague hotel (museli, yogurt, breads, meats, cheeses, sausages, beans, fried eggs, hard boiled eggs, pastries, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, tea, milk)
Least prepared moment: arriving in Salzburg at 6pm with no hotel booked and no ideas where hotels were.
Best seasonal surprise: Easter markets in Prague
Weather: 55-70 degrees and sunny! Every day (it did actually rain one day, but every single time we got out of the car it stopped).
