Crazy

You may have heard about this (it is on the home page of the major US news outlets), but a volcano in Iceland erupted yesterday (Wednesday). Apparently, it was so powerful that it has released a massive cloud of ash which is now migrating over parts of Europe. I would have never thought this, but evidently an ash cloud is quite dangerous to airplane engines. So, all flights in and out of the UK (Edinburgh, Glasgow, London Heathrow) are canceled. All day. Until, at the earliest, 7:00am tomorrow (Friday). But, likely longer. Airspace over several other European countries is also closed.

Check this out for more information and some amazing video.

So glad I'm not flying this weekend.
