Never having been to the Lake Michigan area, we were so surprised to find that Lake Michigan more closely resembles the ocean than any lake we’ve ever seen. It was beautiful! The water was so clear and the beaches were gorgeous. We enjoyed a lot of fun activities, including a great hike to a lighthouse:

Late night campfires, smores, and fireworks, the sand dunes at Silver Lake, and games galore.
It was a great trip and we had a great time with the extended Schmitt family!
